Today’s episode is with Dr Neus Candela, an integrative holistic vet based in Spain and is currently the President of the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society. She’s a single parent who has so much drive and determination to create the future she desires above all else – Freedom. I have nothing but deep respect for her honest outlook in life – it’s not perfect but by golly she will make it work for her! This is her story. Dr Neus Candela is a veterinarian who integrates conventional and functional medicine. Her expertise is on handling chronic gastrointestinal disease and allergies using healthy food and nutritional supplements as the pivotal point of her treatments. Dr Candela worked as a conventional veterinarian in the Emergency and Critical Care field for ten years in referral hospitals in Spain and the United Kingdom and holds a postgraduate degree in Acupuncture. She is currently based mainly in Barcelona (Spain) and spends a lot of her working time on clinical work in a veterinary hospital and also online. Aside from her clinical work, Dr Candela lectures and delivers courses on raw and cooked food for the Spanish speaking world and also works as a counsellor for fresh food companies and manufacturers. Her presence in Social Media is helping to spread the message of the paramount importance that healthy food has for pets, as well as the problems and limitations of conventional veterinary medicine.
